Life with ADHD or any neurodivergent brain can feel like having a hundred tabs open at once (and still adding more). I know this firsthand, because my son has severe ADHD. Over the years, I’ve seen how traditional “just put it away” organizing advice doesn’t work for him. I’ve learned that organizing with ADHD isn’t about perfection, it’s about creating systems that remove friction and reduce mental overwhelm.
For many people, getting organized is tough. But if you live with ADHD or other neurodivergent tendencies, it can feel nearly impossible. It’s not that you don’t want to be organized (you do), it’s that traditional systems (like a closet full of labeled bins or a “just put it back” rule) often don’t work with how your brain processes information.
