The Overlook House: A Luxury Concierge Move Designed for Effortless Living

There are homes that are beautiful… and then there are homes that are designed to be lived in beautifully. The Overlook Project was exactly that. Perched above Utah Valley in Lehi, this custom-built home by Raycon Construction and thoughtfully designed by Kimberly Parker Design offered breathtaking, uninterrupted views of Utah Lake and the surrounding mountains. The setting felt serene, elevated, and completely private.

From the beginning, our goal for a Reset Your Nest concierge move was simple: to ensure that the Overlook House functioned for its family while feeling just as calm, intentional, and elevated as the views outside every window.

The Overlook House: A Luxury Concierge Move Designed for Effortless Living

Organizing the Overlook House

Luxury organization doesn’t begin on move-in day. It begins months before! For the Overlook House project, we worked closely with the homeowners early in the building process.

Through a series of strategy sessions, we learned how they lived, what mattered most to them, and how they wanted their home to feel day-to-day. This level of insight allowed us to design not just spaces, but systems tailored to their lifestyle. We made plans to organize their entire home, including their storage room, kitchen, laundry room, closets, garage, and mudroom.

We collaborated with Raycon Construction to ensure that cabinetry, shelving, and storage spaces were created with intention (down to the exact dimensions of the bins we would later use). Plus, working alongside Kimberly Parker Design, we ensured that every space maintained its elevated feel while also being fully livable. It’s one thing for a home to be styled. It’s another for it to be sustainably organized. Every drawer, cabinet, and shelf was designed with both beauty and purpose in mind so the home didn’t just look complete, it functioned that way immediately.

1. The Storage Room: Where Luxury Organization Begins

While it may not be the most glamorous space, the storage room is often where the success of a home’s organization begins. For this home, it became one of the most impactful areas.

The shelving was custom-designed to fit our preferred clear bins, creating a space that felt structured, consistent, and visually calm. Months before the move, our team worked with the clients to fully declutter and pre-pack every storage category (e.g. holiday décor, seasonal items, and keepsakes) into matching bins with consistent labeling (using our favorite label maker).

This meant that there was no last-minute packing chaos, no moving items that would later be discarded, and no “we’ll deal with it later” storage problems. Everything arrived at the new home already edited, categorized, and ready to be placed.

The result was a fully functional, beautifully organized storage room complete with an entire wall dedicated to holiday décor (including Christmas trees) ready for their first season in the home.

2. Kitchen: Designed & Organized Around Real Life

The kitchen, pantry, and dining areas are the heart of any home and in this project, they were designed to support both everyday living and elevated entertaining. Because we had spent months getting to know the family, we were able to map out the kitchen based entirely on their habits:

  • A breakfast station designed for their real morning routine

  • Baking zones based on frequency of use

  • Strategic placement of paper goods and entertaining pieces

Every detail was intentional. Spices were decanted into glass jars with gold lids to match the hardware, using modern white labels for a clean look, and a tiered drawer spice rack to keep everything in place. Cooking tools were kept from becoming a mess in the drawers using bamboo drawer dividers and acrylic drawer organizers. Deep cabinets were maximized using 16-inch acrylic organizers to ensure nothing was lost or forgotten. The butler’s pantry carried the same cohesive aesthetic, blending soft neutrals and organic textures for a seamless visual experience.

Nearby, the dining room housed beautifully organized china, specialty flatware, and linens. We chose to keep all kitchen and dining linens out of the tasking kitchen area so more frequently used items could be prioritized in those drawers and cabinets. We always think of how to improve the flow of the space for the family, especially thinking ahead to whenever they will be hosting guests in their new home.

3. Laundry Room: Multi-Functional Utility Space

One of the most unique features of this home was the laundry room, designed with dual access points for convenience and (again) flow.

We transformed this space into a fully functional utility hub, thoughtfully organizing:

  • Linens and extra bedding, using 16” acrylic bins when needed

  • Overflow bathroom and personal care items in acrylic bins

  • First aid and household essentials

  • Steaming and ironing supplies

  • Dryer balls and powder detergent in glass jars

All of it was contained behind closed cabinetry using the bins we had planned specifically for that shelving. Of course we finished off the organized design with clear labels to ensure ease of maintenance for the family so that this laundry and utility space will be able to quietly support them for years to come.

4. Primary Closet: Boutique-Level Detail

The primary closet was designed to feel like a private boutique. Glass-front cabinetry showcased a curated collection of handbags and shoes, while cambridge bins (customized with secure label clips) kept smaller items contained. While most closets feature uniform hangers throughout, we honored each spouse’s preference for different hanger styles (wood hangers for her and velvet hangers for him). True luxury is about personalization.

Everything was given a home. From rolled ties, to folded socks, makeup, lipstick, folded tops, and more… each system was designed for both beauty and ease of maintenance.

5. Garage, Mudroom, & Lifestyle Zones

Luxury organization extends beyond the main living spaces. And not everything needs to be decanted or hidden. In this home, we prioritized ease of use and intuitive access, especially for items the family regularly uses.

We created dedicated zones throughout the home, including:

  • A mudroom designed for daily flow

  • A garage work area with slat wall storage

  • Ski and seasonal gear organization

  • Game storage designed for visibility and accessibility

By the time this family walked into their home, everything was already in place. No boxes. No decisions left to make. No lingering projects. Just a fully designed and organized home ready to support their life from day one because they invested in their home with a concierge-level move experience.

As you can see, it’s not just making it all look pretty. They invested in the planning, intention, and professional organization we provided so they weren’t just moving into a new house, they were stepping into their new home that’s already customized to them!

At Reset Your Nest, we specialize in creating elevated, fully customized organizational systems for clients who value both beauty and function. Whether you’re building, moving, or simply ready to reset your home, our team ensures every detail is thoughtfully considered so your home feels effortless to live in.

True luxury isn’t just how your home looks, it’s how it supports your life every single day! And that includes every space in your home, from garage to kitchen to closets, and everything in between.
