Stress-free giving starts with a plan and this year, I’ve done the heavy lifting for you. As a professional organizer, I believe gifts should be both intentional and functional: items people will actually use, enjoy, and want to keep. I also have 4 kids (ages 9-17) and have definitely learned through the years what gifts continue to get played with and used and which ones add to clutter in the home.
Summer in Utah is full of sunshine, splash pads, lake days, and spontaneous pool invites, and I love all of it. But if you’re a mom like me, you also know how quickly summer fun turns into summer chaos when swimsuits, goggles, and sunscreen are everywhere.
Summer: that magical stretch of longer days, popsicles, and pool time — and also the season of “Mom, I’m bored,” constant messes, and non-stop snack demands.
Are you like me? Every year as school winds down I start daydreaming about the slower pace of summer. I picture lazy mornings, long poolside afternoons, barefoot dinners on the patio, and extra time with my kids. And then… summer actually starts.
